In 1935 he became the winner of one of the first mathematical olympiads of Moscow. In 1948 he defended his thesis, in 1953 - his doctoral dissertation. 20 of his students became candidates of science, 8 of them - doctors of science. He was laureate of the award. P. L. Chebyshev Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
